Melissa Bickett, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery sports medicine.
Among her many achievements as a student athlete, Dr. Bickett competed in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic trials in discus. She also served as the assistant team physician for four Houston professional sports teams while completing her fellowship. Dr. Bickett was also awarded the Certificate of Additional Qualification (CAQ) for Sports Medicine.
Education
Dr. Bickett earned her medical degree magna cum laude from The Ohio State University School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree with distinction from The University of Michigan. She completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at The University of Kentucky and a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at University of Texas/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
