Neil Soehnlen, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement with a focus on advanced, minimally invasive techniques designed to optimize outcomes and enhance recovery. He utilizes contemporary muscle-sparing knee replacement, direct anterior hip replacement, and robotic-assisted joint replacement technology to provide precise, individualized care. By emphasizing tissue-preserving surgical methods that minimize disruption to muscles and surrounding soft tissues, Dr. Soehnlen strives to reduce postoperative pain, facilitate earlier mobility, and help patients return to their daily activities as safely and efficiently as possible.
He is a Stark County native and graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School. Outside of work, Dr. Soehnlen enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being outdoors.
Education
Dr. Soehnlen completed an accelerated BS/MD program including undergraduate studies at the University of Akron, and earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron. While at NEOMED, Dr. Soehnlen was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary. He performed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wright State in Dayton, OH, and completed his training with an adult reconstruction fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic where he focused on complex total joint replacement.
